The Saint Martin island native is multi-faceted as an actor, model, and producer.

She was born to Haitian parents who emigrated from their home to Saint Martin, then to New York at an attempt for a better life.  Growing up on the French side of Saint Martin, she became familiar with different cultures, food, music, dance, and art forms. She learned to speak French, Haitian Creole, and English.   As a child, she immersed herself in theater to open up and express herself.  She loved the feeling that she could affect others from the stage.

As a teen, Carlène was very athletic and participated in Track & Field as a sprinter. She also became a fitness model launching campaigns with JCPenney, Valencia College, and Muscle and Fitness magazine. She began acting full-time while studying at the University of Pennsylvania and the Historic Freedom Theatre in Philadelphia. She has performed in many independent film and theatre productions, including the "House of Malik", with Clifton Powell, “Ruined", "Under the Cherry Tree", "The Piano Lesson," "The last days of Judas Iscariot”, and "By the way, meet Vera Stark."  She has a few producing credits that include music video projects and a documentary about rebuilding Haiti and its educational system after the 2010 earthquake.  Most importantly, Carlène enjoys working on projects that raise awareness about truth and justice in society.
